As long standing lovers of the Lake District and Keswick in particular, we are committed to offering a high standard of accommodation and service to enable our visitors to fully appreciate this most beautiful comer of England. Above all we want Clarence House to be a friendly, clean, relaxing and enjoyable place to stay.We are situated in a quiet residential street, just a five minute walk away from the town centre of Keswick and ten minutes walk from the theatre and the lake. Clarence House is a detached Victorian residence built in 1892. It was purchased by us in March 2012 and considerable time and effort has been spent trying to restore it to its former splendour. The refurbishments have brought Clarence House up to high modern standards but maintained much of the Victorian character. All rooms have new décor, carpets, en-suites, furniture, generous hospitality tray, flat screen TV and free WiFi. Guests dine in our spacious Victorian dining room and have a choice of breakfast menu. Cycle storage and drying facilities are available. Strictly non-smoking.

Directions

From the A66 or the A591 follow the signs into Keswick. As you come down a long hill (Penrith Road), look out for the Twa Dogs Inn on the left, pass under a bridge and the fourth turning on the left after the bridge is Greta Street leading to Eskin Street. Turn into Greta Street and after crossing two roads you will be in Eskin Street. Clarence House is 150 yards along on the left.
